Elevate your biryani experience with Datar’s Biryani Pulav Spice Mix.

INGREDIENTS :

Datar Biryani Pulav Spice Mix: 4 tablespoons
Basmati Rice: 500 grams
Potato Cubes: 200 grams
Green Peas: 200 grams
Carrots chopped: 100 grams
French Beans: 100 grams
Cauliflower: 100 grams
Onions chopped: 200 grams
Ginger Paste: 20 grams
Garlic Paste: 40 grams
Pudina (mint leaves): 10 grams
Green Chilies: 6
Cashew Nuts (broken): 50 grams
Milk: 4 tablespoons
Saffron: few strands
Ghee: 50 grams
Datar Salt: as per taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  • Take 500 grams of basmati rice and soak in water for one hour. Drain the waterand add one litre of freshwater and Datar Salt as per taste.
  • Cook the rice till it is about ¾th done (75%). Drain the excess water and keep it aside.
  • To 4 tablespoons of milk, add saffron and boil for 2 minutes. Mix it well with the rice.
  • Take some water in a vessel and add potato cubes, french beans, carrots, green peas and cauliflower and cook the vegetables. Keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add chopped onions, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies, cashew nuts and fry till the onions turn golden brown.
  • Add Datar Vegetable Biryani Spice Mix and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add cooked vegetables, pudina and Datar Salt as per taste. Cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Take another vessel; add a layer of rice followed by a layer of vegetables alternately and cover the vessel with the lid.
  • Place the vessel on the pan and cook it on low flame until rice is cooked.
  • Serve hot Datar Biryani Pulao with raita.
