In another bowl, soak the urad dal and methi for 5 hours. Drain the water from the soaked urad dal in a pan and keep it aside for further use. Drain the water from the Rava Idli as well and discard. Now, grind Datar Rava Idli, urad dal, methi seeds, cooked rice and strained water from urad dal until it becomes a smooth batter. Pour it in a bowl, add salt as per taste, mix well and let it ferment.
