Treat your guests to some delicious Dal Gosh Curry.

INGREDIENTS :

Datar Dal Gosh Curry Spice mix: 4 tablespoons (30 grams)
Mutton Pieces (Lamb): 500 grams
Chana Dal: 1 cup (200 grams)
Chopped Tomato: 3 (200 grams)
Sliced Onions: 4 (300 grams)
Yoghurt (Curd): 1/2 cup (100 grams)
Ginger Paste: 2 tablespoons (20 grams)
Garlic Paste: 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
Datar Turmeric Powder: 1 tablespoon (7 grams)
Vegetable Oil: 5 tablespoons (25 ml)
Chopped Mint Leaves (Pudina): 25 (10 grams)
Datar Salt: as per taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  • Take the mutton in a bowl. Add yoghurt, ginger paste, garlic paste and Datar Dal Gosh Curry Spice Mix to it.
  • Mix properly and marinate for 2 hours.
  • Take the Chana dal in a vessel and add Datar Turmeric Powder. Add some water and boil the dal till it is cooked. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in pan. Fry the sliced onions till they turn golden brown. Add the marinated mutton and fry for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  • Add tomato paste and stir for 1-2 minutes. Add 3 cups of water, cover the pan and cook on a low flame till the mutton is cooked.
  • Add the cooked chana dal and keep stirring continuously on a low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the chopped mint leaves.
  • Serve the Datar Dal Gosh with tandoori roti or naan.
