Enjoy Datar’s special Soya cubes/granules and indulge in a healthy diet that tastes yummy.

SOYA PUNJABI

INGREDIENTS :

Datar Soya Cubes: 100 grams
Datar Vegetable Masala: 1 tablespoon
Potato Cubes: 1 medium size (100 grams)
Onions Chopped: 2 medium size (125 grams)
Tomatoes Chopped: 2 medium size (150 grams)
Vegetable Oil: 3 tablespoons (15 ml)
Chopped Coriander Leaves: 10 grams
Datar Salt to taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  • Boil Datar soya cubes for 10 minutes in 5 cups of water.
  • Remove it from the heat and cover with a lid. Keep it aside to cool for 20 minutes. Drain the water.
  • Softly squeeze the water from the soya cubes. Heat oil in a kadai (wok).
  • Sauté chopped onions till they turn golden brown. Add potato cubes and stir for 3 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes. Then add Datar soya cubes, Datar vegetable masala and mix it well.
  • Add one cup of water and Datar salt to taste. Keep stirring occasionally till the water dries up and the gravy thickness.
  • Add coriander leaves. Remove from the flame and cover the kadai with a lid for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with chapati or tandoori roti.

SOYA KOLHAPURI

INGREDIENTS :

Datar soya cubes: 100 grams
Datar vegetable masala: 1 tablespoon
Onions Chopped: 2 medium size (125 grams)
Freshly grated coconut: 1 cup (100 grams)
Tomatoes chopped: 2 medium size (150 grams)
Vegetable Oil: 3 tablespoons (15 ml)
Datar Salt to taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  • Boil Datar soya cubes for 10 minutes in 5 cups of water.
  • Remove it from the heat and cover with a lid. Keep it aside to cool for 20 minutes. Drain the water.
  • Softly squeeze the water from the soya cubes.
  • In a mildly heated pan, roast freshly grated coconut on a low flame for 15 seconds.
  • Remove it from the heat and keep aside.
  • In a kadai (wok), heat oil. Sauté chopped onions till they turn golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they turn soft.
  • Add Datar soya cubes, Datar vegetable masala and mix well. Add one cup of water and Datar salt to taste.
  • Continue stirring till the water dries up and gravy thickens.
  • Add roasted coconut. Stir for a few seconds and stop cooking.
  • Serve hot with chapati or phulka.
