What You’ll Need

For the Gravy
  • Datar Soya Cubes: 100 gramsDatar Vegetable Masala: 1 tablespoonPotato Cubes: 1 medium size (100 grams)Onions Chopped: 2 medium size (125 grams)Tomatoes Chopped: 2 medium size (150 grams)Vegetable Oil: 3 tablespoons (15 ml)Chopped Coriander Leaves: 10 gramsDatar Salt to taste

Cooking Steps

  • Boil Datar soya cubes for 10 minutes in 5 cups of water.Remove it from the heat and cover with a lid. Keep it aside to cool for 20 minutes. Drain the water.Softly squeeze the water from the soya cubes. Heat oil in a kadai (wok).Sauté chopped onions till they turn golden brown. Add potato cubes and stir for 3 minutes.Add chopped tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes. Then add Datar soya cubes, Datar vegetable masala and mix it well.Add one cup of water and Datar salt to taste. Keep stirring occasionally till the water dries up and the gravy thickness.Add coriander leaves. Remove from the flame and cover the kadai with a lid for 5 minutes.Serve hot with chapati or tandoori roti.
