For the Gravy
  • Datar Rasam Powder Spice Mix: 3 tablespoons (25 grams)Chopped Tomatoes: 3 numbers (225 grams)Tamarind Paste: 3 tablespoons (75 grams)Curry leaves: 20 numbersCoriander Leaves: 30 numbersMustard Seeds: 1 teaspoon (5 grams)Fenugreek Seeds (Methi): 1 teaspoon (5 grams)Kashmiri Chilly: 4 numbers,Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons (10 ml)Datar Salt: as per taste

Cooking Steps

  • In a cooking pot, add 1 litre water, chopped tomatoes, tamarind paste, Datar Rasam Powder Spice Mix and Salt as per taste. Boil it for 15 minutes.Add coriander leaves and curry leaves and keep the pot aside.Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, fenugreek, Kashmirichili& fry for 5 seconds.Then add the tadka to the prepared Rasam.
