Take 500 grams of Basmati rice and soak in water for one hour.Drain the used water and add one litre of fresh water. Cook the rice till it is about ¾th done (75%). Drain the excess water and keep it aside.Take ginger, garlic paste, salt as per taste and 50 grams of Datar Fish Biryani spice.Mix it well and apply on the fish and keep it aside for 45 minutes.Heat the ghee and fry the potato steaks and onion slices till they turn brown and crisp. Drain and keep aside.Heat the ghee in a pan. Add chopped onions, 6 green chilies and fry till the onions turn golden brown.Add tomato and cook for 1 minute. Add fish with all mixed spices and fry for 15 seconds.Add 300 ml of water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.Take a vessel to add a layer of rice followed by a layer of fish alternately and cover the vessel with a plate.Put the vessel on a pan and heat on a low flame till the rice is cooked.Garnish with potato steaks and onion slices.
