What You’ll Need

For the Gravy
  • Datar Dal Gosh Curry Spice mix: 4 tablespoons (30 grams)Mutton Pieces (Lamb): 500 gramsChana Dal: 1 cup (200 grams)Chopped Tomato: 3 (200 grams)Sliced Onions: 4 (300 grams)Yoghurt (Curd): 1/2 cup (100 grams)Ginger Paste: 2 tablespoons (20 grams)Garlic Paste: 2 tablespoons (30 grams)Datar Turmeric Powder: 1 tablespoon (7 grams)Vegetable Oil: 5 tablespoons (25 ml)Chopped Mint Leaves (Pudina): 25 (10 grams)Datar Salt: as per taste

Cooking Steps

  • METHOD OF PREPARATION :Take the mutton in a bowl. Add yoghurt, ginger paste, garlic paste and Datar Dal Gosh Curry Spice Mix to it.Mix properly and marinate for 2 hours.Take the Chana dal in a vessel and add Datar Turmeric Powder. Add some water and boil the dal till it is cooked. Keep it aside.Heat oil in pan. Fry the sliced onions till they turn golden brown. Add the marinated mutton and fry for 5 minutes on a low flame.Add tomato paste and stir for 1-2 minutes. Add 3 cups of water, cover the pan and cook on a low flame till the mutton is cooked.Add the cooked chana dal and keep stirring continuously on a low flame for 2-3 minutes.Add the chopped mint leaves.Serve the Datar Dal Gosh with tandoori roti or naan.
