Cooking Steps

  • Take 200 grams of toor dal, 3 tomatoes and water as required.Boil till the dal and tomatoes are cooked. Keep it aside. Heat up 8 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry the green chilies and chopped onions till they turn golden brown.Add 3 tablespoons of Datar Indian Dal Fry Spice Mix and fry for 5 seconds.Add the boiled dal and fry it for 30 seconds. If the dal consistency is thick, then add 1 or 2 cups of water and Datar Salt as per your taste. Cook for 2 – 3 minutes.Serve Datar Indian Dal Fry with Datar Pickle and steamed white rice.
